Herman’s Hermits and Hugo’s dining specials highlight monthly offerings
PHILADELPHIA — July 31, 2019 — Swing into Rivers this August to celebrate National Oyster Day and National Filet Day with two delicious specials at Hugo’s Frog Bar & Chop House. Meanwhile, Herman’s Hermits, featuring multi-talented entertainer and front man Peter Noone, brings its classic pop hits to The Event Center on Friday, Aug. 16, at 8 p.m. These are just some of the many offerings in store this month at Rivers Casino Philadelphia.
Promotions, Contests and Sweepstakes
Work Zone Winnings Sweepstakes — Throughout the month of August, Rush Rewards Members can earn entries daily for the Work Zone Winnings Sweepstakes for their chance to win a $25,000 home renovation. On Monday, Sept. 2, five winners will be announced every 30 minutes from 4-8 p.m. to win thousands in gift cards, plus one lucky winner will win a $25,000 home renovation from Lowe’s.
Herman’s Hermits Trivia Social Media Contest — Guests can enter to win a pair of tickets on the Rivers Casino Philadelphia Facebook page to see Herman’s Hermits in concert at The Event Center on Friday, Aug. 16. From Thursday, Aug. 1, through Wednesday, Aug. 14, guests can enter a 1960s trivia contest, and the top five participants with the highest scores will be selected to win a pair of tickets to the concert.
$25,000 Sweet Luck Truck — Every Tuesday throughout the month of August, guests can earn entries into the $25,000 Sweet Luck Truck promotion. From 5-9 p.m. each Tuesday, five winners will be selected every half hour for the chance to win up to $25,000 in Free Play.

- 11 a.m. Sundays — $150 entry, $5,000 guaranteed prize pool
- 7 p.m. Mondays — $125 entry, $4,000 guaranteed prize pool

- 11 a.m. Saturdays — $45 entry, beginners’ tournament
Daily High Hands — It’s “Thursday Thunder” in Philadelphia’s first and only poker room as Rivers features more than $200,000 worth of high hands in August. On Thursdays, high hands are $500 every 30 minutes from noon to midnight. The high-hand promotion is offered daily, and players can win varying amounts ranging from $300 to $500 at selected times.
Bad Beat Jackpot — The current Bad Beat Jackpot is $100,000 and the minimum qualifying hand is quad 2s.

- National Oyster Day — On Monday, Aug. 5, guests can enjoy a Buck-a-Shuck day with $1 oysters from 5–8 p.m.
- Buck-a-Shuck — Additional Buck-a-Shuck days featuring $1 oysters are Thursdays from 5-8 p.m.
- National Filet Day — On Tuesday, Aug. 13, Hugo’s will be hosting a National Filet Day special from 3-11 p.m. that includes a three-course meal featuring a glass of house wine, a house salad, an 8 oz. filet dinner and a dessert for just $45 per person.
On Fridays and Saturdays in August, guests will enjoy live piano music in the casino’s first-class steakhouse from 6-10 p.m. Live music on Thursday’s is from 5-9 p.m.
