The object of the game Baccarat is to get to a point count closest to 9 on whichever of two possible hands the player wagers. Cards 1 (Ace) through 9 count at face value. All tens and face cards or any combination of them have no value. For example: 9+5=4, Jack+1=1.
There are three ways to wager; the Banker Hand, the Player Hands or the Tie. Winning Banker and Player hands pay 1 to 1 and a 5% commission is charged on all winning Banker wagers.
In Baccarat the players pull the cards from the shoe, the player who has the shoe is called the curator. The shoe is offered to the player in chair number one after the shuffle of the cards. If that player refuses the shoe it moves around the table counterclockwise until a player accepts. That player will remain as the curator until the Banker Hand loses. The dealer will call the hand and distribute either the Banker or Player hand to the player who will face the cards. The first and third cards are the Player Hand and the second and fourth cards are the Banker Hand. If the post count total of either hand is 8 or 9 on the first two cards, the game is over and no more cards will be drawn. If not, the Player Hand will draw a third card if that hand totals 0 through 5. The value of the third card drawn will determine if the Banker Hand receives a third card. The Player Hand stands on 6 or 7 and the Banker Hand stands on 7, 8 or 9 or whenever the rules of the game dictate.
No more than one additional card will be drawn to each hand. The hand closest to 9 wins. If both the Banker and Player Hand result in identical totals, neither one wins or loses and any player who has wagered on the Tie wins at odds of 8 to 1.
Player – When first two cards total:
8-9 Natural – Stand
Banker – When the Player stands on 6 or 7, the Banker will always draw on total of 0-1-2-3-4 and 5 and stand on 6-7-8 and 9.
When the Player does not have a natural, the Banker will always draw on the totals of 0-1 and 2 and then observe the following rules.
|Bank Has:||Draws when Player’s 3rd card is:||Draw when Player’s 3rd card is:|
Dragon bonus is an optional wager that wins when your hand is a natural winner or a non-natural winner that wins by a margin of 4 to 9 points.
You may make a Dragon Bonus wager in the designated area of either the Bank or Player hand prior to any cards being dealt.
After dealing the hand according to the rules above, the dealer will reconcile all wagers for each player. Non-winning Dragon Bonus wagers are collected by the dealer and winning Dragon bonus wagers are paid according to the pay table below.
